Shen Yun at Greensboro is presented by North Carolina Falun Dafa Association.

Attending War Memorial Auditorium on Friday Evening performance was Dr. Alma Adams, a professor of art at Bennit College for Woman at City of Greensboro and also a North Carolina House of Representative. As an art educator and advocator, Honorable Alma Adams said that she is impressed by the precision of sound effect, music, and all artistries working simultaneously together this is what she has never seen before. She is very much impressed by the Shen Yun performers that they have gained mastery of their trade.

Attending War Memorial Auditorium on Friday Evening performance was Katrina Guiliano, a dance teacher at High School in the city of Greensboro. Katrina said Shen Yun is absolutely visually stunning. She is not only mesmerized by the colors, the imagery, the Custuming, the Props, and the music but also captivated by the athlecticism of the men and sheer grace and beauty of the women. Katrina was moved to tears severeal times by watching the programs of “Persecuted on a Sacred Path” and “Dignity and Compassion”. However, She got joyce by watching the program of “Knowing the True Picture Offers Utimate Hope”. No wonder she said that she has no choice but to breath along with performers as they danced.

Obama Waves, If Not Shakes, Economic Stick at China

This morning kicked off two days of intense economic discussions between the U.S. and China here in Washington, and President Obama opened the session with a speech, mentioning the unmentionable issue with China: human rights.

Obama said that the U.S. respects China’s “ancient culture” but added: “We also strongly believe that the religion and culture of all peoples must be respected and protected, and that all people should be free to speak their minds.”

“That includes ethnic and religious minorities in China, as surely as it includes minorities within the United States,” Obama said.

This was an important statement from the young president and marked a significant break from his Democratic predecessor in the White House, Bill Clinton, who famously — or infamously, depending on where you stand on China — “de-linked” the human rights issue from trade between the two nations.

Attending War Memorial Auditorium on Friday Evening performance was Angela Grubb, a dance teacher at city of Greensboro. Angela was in the art beats with the program of ‘The Udumbara’s Bloom’. She couldn’t take her eyes off these bejeweled dancers who took inspiration from the Buddhist Dunhuang cave of Western China as well as Indian dance in a sumptuous display of reverent beauty. she said that she has just watched an artistic, visually stunning masterpiece. Well, I can not agree with her more.

Attending War Memorial Auditorium on Friday Evening performance was Yvonne Johnson, Mayor of Greensboro. Mayor Johnson was impressed by the costumes, the color, the stories, the dance, and the music. She said the whole thing just resonated in her soul. She even felt like a ‘groupie’ for she can’t stop coming back again and again and again.

We’ll now listen to Mayor Johnson’s feelings and insights about the show.

Currently, the three companies of Shen Yun are touring 80 cities in the globe for the season of 2008 and 2009. The cities will host Shen Yun in September are Greensboro, North Carolina and Portland, Maine. In October, Toronto, Canada. In December, Augusta, Georgia and San Diego, California. Make sure you don’t miss out this golden opportunity to see the pinnacle of Chinese renaissance, a 5-millennia-old Chinese culture in 2 and a half hours on the stage near you,
