A Story of Love and Time

Once upon a time, there was a small island where many beings lived. Happiness, Sorrow, Knowledge, and Love, along with other Emotions, lived on this island.

One day, the Emotions learned the island was about to sink. Everyone then prepared to leave the island, except Love.

Love insisted that she would stay until the very last minute.

A few days later, when the island was about to sink, Love thought of asking for help. At that time, she saw Wealth passing by in a big ship.

Love asked: “Wealth, Will you take me with you?”

Wealth said: “No, my ship is loaded with gold, silver and other treasure. There is no room for you.”
Then Love saw Vanity on a very magnificent ship and asked: “Vanity, please help me!”

Vanity said: “I cannot help you. You are all wet and might mess up my beautiful ship.”
When Sorrow passed by, Love asked him for help: “Sorrow, let me go with you.”

“Oh, I am so very sad, I just wish to be alone!” Sorrow answered.
When Happiness passed by, he didn’t hear Love was calling him for help, because he was so joyous.
Suddenly, a voice called: “Come over, Love. I’ll take you with me.”

It was an elder. Love was pleased beyond expectation and forgot to ask his name. When they reached land, the elder left.

Love was very grateful and asked another elder the name of the one who had just saved her.

“His name is Time.” Knowledge answered.

“Time?” Love asked, “Why would Time help me?”

Knowledge smiled: “It is because only Time can comprehend how great Love is.”

Welcome to the Sound Of Hope Radio network, This is Catherine Hennessy and in this program we will be covering Shen Yun Performing Arts in Greensboro, North Caroline at War Memorial Auditorium on 4th of September, 2009.

Shen Yun at Greensboro is presented by North Carolina Falun Dafa Association.

Attending War Memorial Auditorium on Friday Evening performance was Katheryn LaGrand, a professional musician and a teacher of flute. Katheryn was in tune with the authentic Chinese 2 stringed violin – El Hu. This instrument can create a soulful ambiance only in a live performance. She also opened her ears to the original sound of Eastern instruments in the orchestra.

We’ll now listen to flutist Katheryn LaGrand’s feelings and insights about the show.

Currently, the three companies of Shen Yun are touring 80 cities in the globe for the season of 2008 and 2009. The cities will host Shen Yun in October is Toronto, Canada. Attending War Memorial Auditorium on Friday Evening performance was Dr. Alma Adams, a professor of art at Bennit College for Woman at City of Greensboro and also a North Carolina House of Representative. As an art educator and advocator, Honorable Alma Adams said that she is impressed by the precision of sound effect, music, and all artistries working simultaneously together this is what she has never seen before. She is very much impressed by the Shen Yun performers that they have gained mastery of their trade.

Shen Yun Absolutely Beautiful. I Had No Choice But To Breath Along With Performers As They Danced.

Attending War Memorial Auditorium on Friday Evening performance was Katrina Guiliano, a dance teacher at High School in the city of Greensboro. Katrina said Shen Yun is absolutely visually stunning. She is not only mesmerized by the colors, the imagery, the Custuming, the Props, and the music but also captivated by the athlecticism of the men and sheer grace and beauty of the women. Katrina was moved to tears severeal times by watching the programs of “Persecuted on a Sacred Path” and “Dignity and Compassion”. However, She got joyce by watching the program of “Knowing the True Picture Offers Utimate Hope”. No wonder she said that she has no choice but to breath along with performers as they danced.
