This garden and flowers is not closed to the live and grandeous stage described by interviewee

Today’s update of Shen Yun Performing Arts’ first show on 15th of January, 2010 at Place Des Arts-Theatre Maisonneuve is by its sponsor Sound of Hope Radio Network. I’m Catherine Hennessy. Our staff reporter interviewed audience member Aniko Hill, a professor of BioChemistry. Aniko said that this is her first time to see classical Chinese dance, an ancient Chinese renaissance culture brought to the stage. She is amazed at the impact of the perfect synchronization of the Chinese and Western music, colorful costumes, the intricate yet delicate dances blend in with heaven-like scenary backdrop. When the curtain went up it just took her breath away. She said that she couldn’t find word properly describe how beautiful the stage is. Well, let me help her a little bit. She perhaps may describe the stage is like a ‘God made flower’. Aniko is also surprised by the program called Nothing Can Block The Divine Path. She is hoping that Chinese people in mainland China one day will have religious freedom like Hungarian people who are free from the communist party today.

Let’s now listen to Aniko Hill share her impressions and suprises of her first Shen Yun experience.

Chris Mark and his family at Detroit Opera House in Detroit, Michigan.

Today’s update of Shen Yun Performing Arts’ first show on 2nd of January, 2010 at Detroit Opera House in Michigan is by its sponsor Sound of Hope Radio Network. I’m Catherine Hennessy. Our staff reporter interviewed audience member Chris Mark. Chris has brought his wife and their young son and daughter with him to this unforgettable show _ Shen Yun. Chris is an orchestra conductor for Huron High School at Ann Arbor, Michigan. A school with high reputation of music department and its orchestral performances. As a musician, Chris has identified the Asian Pentatonic scale performed by Shen Yun’s live orchestra although this orchestra is in combination of eastern and western instruments. Pentatonic scale is the keys of all black keys on piano. If not just played the black keys then play any key to begin with a pattern of whole step, whole step, one and a half steps, whole step, one and a half steps. Or another pattern like this: whole step, one and a half steps, whole step, whole step, one and a half steps. Try it and you will savor the Asian flavor of Pentatonic scale music. Pentatonic scale music is very soulful and characristic as you may have already known.

Let’s now listen to Chris Mark share his impressions of his first Shen Yun experience except his zero understanding of divine messeges conveyed by Shen Yun.

SOH caught up with audience member Shubha Chakraboity at Detroit Opera House on January 2 for the metinee performance. Shubha is a Indian Classical dancer, as a dancer, she compares Indian classical dance with Chinese Classical dance on its styles, props, and technics. She commented that digital backdrop made her eyes opened to see the landscapings and learned the Chinese culture. She said that it is very impressive that performers’ every hand-movement and foot-movement are in highly precise coordination. She found it is very hard to do.

Now, let’s listen to Shubha Chakraboity’s professioal view points and thoughts.
